EASY TO USE
Turn ALCOSCAN™ On
In less than 30 seconds, ALCOSCAN™ is ready to
conduct a breath test.
When ALCOSCAN™ is first switched on, a yellow LED
will appear, indicating that a systems check and
purge cycle is taking place. Approximately 30
seconds later the READY FOR TEST indication is
given. A green LED will illuminate and the beeper
will sound twice.
TAKE A BREATH SAMPLE
The ALCOSCAN™ can be used in two modes:
ACTIVE The subject participates by blowing
directly at the unit.
PASSIVE The operator performs a non-invasive
test, placing the unit in a space of air
where alcohol may be present.
READ THE RESULTS
ZERO 0.000% BAC – 0.019% BAC
(0.00 mg% - 19.99 mg%)
LOW 0.020% BAC – 0.049% BAC
(20.00 mg% - 49.99 mg%)
HIGH 0.050% BAC + (50 mg% +)
RETESTING
After the breath test is conducted and the result is
displayed, the WAI T (yellow) LED appears. A few
seconds later, the READY FOR TEST (green) LED will
appear and ALCOSCAN™ is ready for retesting.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
ALCOSCAN™ lets you know when the battery is low.
A red LED will appear to indicate that the batteries
need recharging.
