In the different processes in the industry and even in our daily life there are combustion processes that allow to operate equipment for power generation, from the simplest heaters used in households with domestic use to large power generation plants or furnaces that are use at the industrial level. The monitoring of these combustion processes is vital from two points of view, on the one hand, the emission must be monitored according to certain guidelines of the American Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) and on the other the monitoring of these systems guarantees their correct operation. The combustion gas analyzers are robust equipment that allows to monitor the combustion gases which come at high temperature and very difficult conditions of humidity and dirt. These can be used in any process and use different technologies to determine the efficiency and behavior of a particular combustion process. In this way, it is possible to operate correctly the different equipment that uses combustion to generate energy, reducing emissions and using less fuel, which translates into a lower cost due to the amount of energy generated. Also in the environmental monitoring they are a useful tool to determine certain parameters used in the determination of particulate material (Method 5 of the US EPA), replacing some sampling equipment as in the case of method 3 of the US EPA, which previously needed to be done with Orsat sampler which requires laboratory analysis.
