TACMET II WEATHER SENSOR SYSTEM
FEATURES
• Sonic Wind Sensor
• Fast Response Relative Humidity Sensor
• Flux-Gate Compass
• Digital Output
• Barometric Pressure Sensor Optional
Climatronics' TACMET-II Weather Sensor System, P/N
102254 is a second-generation weather sensor, which
includes a number of new features now possible with
improved sensor technology resulting from our
commitment to product improvement. The TACMET II
incorporates Climatronics’ new and unique folded-path,
low-power sonic anemometer, the Sonimometer® , with
a temperature sensor, a fast-response, capacitive
relative humidity sensor, plus an optional barometric
pressure sensor and/or a flux-gate compass. An onboard
microprocessor provides an RS-232C digital
output, with RS-485 or analog output available as
options.
Preserving much of the compact size and weight, low
power, and reliability of its predecessor, the TACMETII
now is available with an optional barometric pressure
sensor in its set of measurements that includes wind
speed, wind direction (resolved to magnetic North with
the optional flux gate compass), temperature, and
relative humidity.
The TACMET II Weather Sensor System is designed
for maximum durability, portability, and utility, making it
uniquely applicable for rapid deployment and use by
one person under adverse conditions. The sensor may
be mounted on a tripod or vehicle mast. The TACMET
II Weather Sensor System is supported by a number of
accessories, including: carrying cases; hand-held
displays; compact, lightweight tripods; and, depot
repair and calibration fixtures.
